Hence, we decided to make it a bit different, where the team could open up more and share what\u2019s actually happening at the ground level. So, we declared a day off and took our entire sales, account management, and marketing team outside for an offsite QBR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Usually, our QBRs in the office wrap up within a few hours, and it\u2019s straight back to the usual routine. This time, we arrived at the venue, took a moment to settle in, and didn\u2019t rush into the agenda. The pace felt slower, more relaxed, and it changed how the rest of the day unfolded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We didn\u2019t begin with slides or reports. Instead, we started with a few simple questions around the company and SEO, just to ease into the conversation and get everyone involved from the start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once we got into the vibe, we moved into the quarterly review. Major departments like sales, marketing, and account management – each shared what they had been working on, what had gone well, and where there was room for improvement. Teams were honest about it too, which made the whole thing feel more real than your average review meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What stood out the most was the shift in how the conversation flowed. It no longer felt like a sequence of updates being presented one after another. Instead, it turned into a more open discussion, where ideas were exchanged more naturally and perspectives came through more clearly. We ended the session with a few light moments, some conversations and reflections that brought everything together. It wasn\u2019t formal or planned in detail, just a simple way to pause and carry a clearer mindset into the next quarter. Small, but meaningful enough to stay with us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a founder, I\u2019d genuinely recommend trying this at least once with your team. Stepping out of the usual setup gives you a chance to see things you might otherwise miss.
